Day 1: Feel the History and Elegance of Rakuto and Higashiyama
Start your journey from Kyoto Station. First, head to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and enjoy the magnificent view from the stage. Walking around Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka will make you feel like you've slipped back in time.
In the afternoon, head to Gion and Hanamikoji. The beautiful stone-paved streets are perfect photo spots. If you're lucky, you might spot a Maiko. In the evening, check into a hotel near Kyoto Station and relax.
Day 2: Healing in the Natural Beauty of Rakusai and Arashiyama
The next day, head to the Arashiyama area, a symbol of Kyoto's nature.
Walking along the world-famous Bamboo Forest Path, the sunlight filtering through the trees and the silence will surely reset your mind and body. Afterward, stroll through the garden of the World Heritage Tenryu-ji Temple, and conclude your trip by gazing at the beautiful flow of the Katsura River from the Togetsukyo Bridge.
