To experience the vastness of Hokkaido, a rental car drive is simply the best.
In this course, we introduce a highly satisfying royal route that visits major sightseeing spots in Sapporo, the nostalgic port town of Otaru, and the vast nature of Niseko and Lake Toya over 3 days and 2 nights.
Day 1: Sapporo Symbols and Exquisite Jingisukan
After renting a car at New Chitose Airport, head first to Sapporo city. We will visit landmarks that make you feel Hokkaido, such as the Sapporo Clock Tower and Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill (Statue of Dr. Clark).
At night, head out to the Susukino area and wash down authentic Jingisukan (grilled mutton) with cold beer!
Day 2: From Romantic Port Town Otaru to Niseko
On the second day, drive to Otaru.
Stroll along the Otaru Canal lined with retro brick warehouses and have a fresh seafood bowl for lunch. After enjoying souvenir hunting at the Otaru Music Box Museum, drive towards Niseko while looking at the beautiful Mt. Yotei.
At night, soak in a hot spring and relax in the midst of great nature.
Day 3: Spectacular View of Lake Toya and Return Journey to Airport
On the final day, enjoy the majestic scenery of the caldera lake, Lake Toya. Taking a pleasure boat or looking over the entire lake from the Silo Observatory is recommended.
Breathe deeply the air of the great nature, and return to New Chitose Airport in time for your evening flight.
